Purchasing Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Supply Chain/Purchasing Specialist! Responsibilities: Manage purchasing and buying processes to ensure the efficient acquisition of materials. Generate and analyze inventory reports Forecast inventory needs to meet the production requirements and deadlines. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating for the best prices and terms. Implement strategies for purchasing materials to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality. Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials. Collaborate with other departments to understand their material requirements and ensure their needs are met. Regularly review and update purchasing policies and procedures to improve efficiency. Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and invoices.Additional Information:Full, time hours Monday-Friday Contract to hire opportunity Attire: Business Casual / Casual Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of two years of experience in a purchasing Ability to create and analyze Inventory Reports is required. Understanding of Supply Chain Logistics Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. Must have experience in Vendor Management. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment is required. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to ethical business practices.
