3rd Shift - Coatings Cell Operations Leader

Job Description SummaryThe Operations Leader will provide leadership and planning for manufacturing operations supporting cell imperatives, safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be expected to make business critical decisions in a timely manner while demonstrating leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department

Drive performance metrics and track results for key business priorities as defined by your role i.e. safety, quality, materials management, fulfillment, productivity, and system compliance

Provide direction and support needs for assigned production associates and/or SAP specialists which includes: resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, and supporting cell priorities.

Monitor adherence to daily production goals

Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost while implementing a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality and safety

Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues as they arise

Support, encourage and facilitate core manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects

Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Management including support for a 5S program, materials, and metric displays

Develop and support the growth of all employees

Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives

Work with HR to develop a performance oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted

Monitor performance to the plan and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting the plan. This includes the use of, and even creation of, L1 and L2 Communication boards.

Ensure compliance with business and quality standards

Utilize modeling data and obtain collaborative feedback to perform optimization simulations and recovery scheduling

Interface with other GE organizations such as: Materials Team, NPI Industrialization, and configuration control, Power Purchasing, and others as required

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical concentration from an accredited university / college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing

Additional 1 year of manufacturing experience

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future

This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant

Ability and willingness to work the off-shift to ensure production demands are communicated and met. (3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am EST)

Flexibility to work across both planning and operations supervision responsibilities

Pay TransparencyThe base pay range for this position is $74,800 – $94,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
