Microbial Scientist I - Greenville, NC Kelly Scientific is Hiring for a Microbial Scientist in Greenville, NC! This position is with one of our top clients in the area, nationally known, for a contract-to-hire position. They are seeking candidates with general USP experience including microbial limits, bioburden, endotoxin, and sterility - and method development/validation experience with these USP guidelines. Work with team members across different functional groups to draft controlled-product-specific testing documentation
Write summary reports for method validation testing. Methods include but are not limited to Bacterial Endotoxins Test, Microbial Enumeration Test, Sterility Test, Bioburden Test and Antimicrobial Effectiveness Test
Write Protocols, General methods and Standard Operating Procedures
Actively participate in daily/weekly meetings to learn and keep up with projects documentation timelines
Plan documentation completion to meet target dates taking into consideration review and editing time
Candidate Requirement:Education & Experience levels
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or similar degree with 1-2 years of experience in technical writing
Required Skills & Knowledge
Familiar with USP general chapters: USP <51>, USP <61>, USP <62>, USP<71> and USP <85>
Proficient in word document and Excel
Proven ability to manage technical writing projects from start to finish independently
Ability to estimate the working time required to complete a task, or time required for a team to complete a task
Detail-oriented, organized, multi-tasker and skilled at time management
Expertise in structuring content so it is easy to read, logical and align with the sequence of testing
Skilled at developing Templates for different types of technical reports
Preferred Skills:
Familiar with Pharmaceutical Microbiology testing, specifically method development and validation
Intensive writing experience
Personal Attributes:

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to work in a regulated environment
Experience with working in a cross-functional team
