You will be part of a dedicated team striving to deliver world-class pharmaceutical solutions.How will you make an impact?As the Operations Supervisor for Manual Visual Inspection, your main responsibility will be overseeing inspection and packaging operations. Your role will involve ensuring that GMP standards and Thermo Fisher Scientific’s quality systems are followed, allowing us to meet production goals and maintain low costs in compliance with regulations. Typical hours for this role are 6:00a - 4:30p. The typical schedule is 4 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday and 98 hours on Friday. Some Saturdays may be required.What will you do?
Lead daily inspection operations, ensuring scheduled activities are performed as planned.
Ensure GMP compliance and meet Thermo Fisher quality system requirements.
Monitor production efficiencies and take action to lower variable standard costs.
Manage administrative tasks including performance plans, job descriptions, and employee reviews.
Prepare and meet expense and headcount budgets, providing adequate resources for production.
Support the company’s safety program to enhance safety awareness and provide a safe work environment.
Maintain technical and operational knowledge of visual inspection operations.
Balance multiple ongoing activities and prioritize tasks, handling customer and regulatory interactions effectively.
How will you get here?EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or related science is preferred.High School diploma or equivalent experience is minimally required.Experience
2+ years of visual inspection operations experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
