Northway Apartments is a small, well established apartment complex located on the high demand Eastside of Greenville, SC. We have 62 units and a low turnover. Northway is a quiet community which has demonstrated itself to be a friendly and safe place for individuals who desire those qualities in a home.
We currently seek an honest, dependable part time maintenance person to do a variety of duties in the general areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general maintenance necessary to prepare our apartments for rental and keep occupied units in tip-top shape. This is a hands-on position.
Basic Responsibilities & Qualifications :
Inspection and repair of vacant apartments; testing, installation and repair of appliances; reading and interpretation of work requests, plans, determination of material needs, create shopping lists, pick up supplies, do own billing and estimate project costs. Occasional exterior work, cleaning, painting, and clean up. Must have working cell phone, ability to take digital photos, send and receive email. Must be available off hours in case of emergency.
Communicate and cooperate as part of a team.
Experience & certifications are great, but will consider all applicants.
Applicants:
Must be neat, clean and appear well groomed while on the property.
Must always speak and behave in a civil, cooperative manner.
Must have the use of a dependable pickup truck and cell phone.
Must agree to drug testing and background check if requested.
Must have a personal sense of urgency and willingness to meet deadlines.
Compensation:
$13-$17 per hour; Hourly basis, commensurate with skills.
Flexible hours and days.
Age not a barrier.
This is a part time position.
