Bishop Mays Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Excavator Operator. This is a full time position, typically working at Monday-Friday work week. Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
Safe and efficient operation of excavator to meet production targets
Must be able to cut grade and load trucks efficiently
Must be able to excavate safely for pipe laying
Perform routine inspections, safety walk-arounds, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications
Receive written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation
May perform other related duties as assigned and operate various other equipment
Full-time, Monday - Friday
Requirements:
Good attitude, reliable, and self-motivating to produce results in a safe manner
Proficient skills and experience required; must understand earthmoving from rough grading to finish grading
Must have at least two years of experience operating excavator
Knowledge of civil drawings a plus
Drug-free
Must be 18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the US
Must be accountable for conduct and have excellent attendance
Capable of working at a sustained pace and produce quality work

Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions
Frequently lift 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb in and out of equipment unassisted
Must be able to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull
