Our company is looking for a qualified candidate for their Industrial Maintenance Technician position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support production management
Perform PM duties necessary to maintain machinery.
Update PM procedures as necessary
Complete all necessary paperwork.
Maintain maintenance logs.
Perform general maintenance tasks as required and requested.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, pumps, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting using appropriate measuring instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.'
Understanding of electrical systems sufficient to ensure a safe operational and maintenance environment.
Education and Experience:
High school or equivalent
Technical training or equivalent experience in an industrial maintenance setting
Industrial mechanic experience: 3 years (Preferred)
Formal Training in electrical systems, motors, and/or pumps (preferred)
