Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the living experience of our residents. This role requires a blend of customer service, administrative tasks, and property management expertise to ensure a well-maintained and thriving community.

Requirements

A proven organizational mindset in addition to a "go-getter" personality

1+ years multifamily leasing/property management experience

Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

Effective communication is a vital requirement for this role. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; this includes understanding and completing legal documents, selling and explaining apartment features, and addressing queries about the community's operation

Conduct all business following Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments

Ability to work as part of a team as well as complete assignments independently

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Processing receivables in a timely fashion while verifying the accuracy of all deposits.

Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.

Oversee leasing activities, including conducting property tours, processing applications, and managing lease agreements.

Implement marketing strategies to promote available units and enhance community visibility.

Maintain accurate records through data entry and management of resident files.

Coordinate maintenance requests through property management software to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and community policies.

Facilitate community events to foster resident engagement and build a sense of community.

Assist Community Manager in ensuring and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records (including rent rolls, delinquency reports, rental status, move in & move out schedule, etc.), entering data into property management system, and submitting reports on a timely basis

Maintains day-to-day communications with Supervisor

Reviews move-in, move-out, and renewal documents and files for accuracy and compliance with company and government policies and ensures it is entered timely

Ensures resident files are properly maintained

Ensures accuracy of all reports and ledgers

Skills

Proficient in data entry and office management tasks.

Experience in sales techniques, particularly in upselling available services or amenities to residents.

Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, manage time efficiently, and multi-task

Ability to interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner

Proficient with property management software. Appfolio is a plus.
