GlobalVision is looking for a Senior System Administrator in Greenville, SC. They are responsible for installing, designing, configuring, and engineering virtual machines (VMWare), Linux, Microsoft based servers and applications in support of business processing requirements. Love of Linux and scripting experience. Installs, upgrades, and patches operating systems and complex software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades in accordance with IT policies and procedures. Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in a team environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate must be able to do the following:
⢠Create, execute and report on testing and implementation plans.
⢠Design, engineer, configure, and install applications on virtual hardware
⢠Excellent communication skills
⢠Capable of resolving complex issues
⢠Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
⢠Capable of multi-tasking
⢠Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in team environments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
⢠Experience maintaining, configuring, designing, installing and engineering Linux and Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
⢠VPN / DNS / experience required
