Title: Insides Sales Rep/Customer Service Pay Range: $40,000 – to $45,000 annually
Palmetto Specialties is locally owned and operated and is Upstate South Carolina’s premier source for “after paint” accessories including Frameless Glass Shower Doors & Enclosures, Custom Mirrors, Bath Accessories, and Custom Closet shelving. Our mission is to provide our customers with a broad selection of top quality, market leading products at a competitive price. Our showroom provides builders, designers and homeowners a place to come and see the latest products, get design ideas and consult with our experienced sales staff.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and personable Inside Sales Representative to join our small dedicated team. This person will need to wear multiple “hats”, have excellent customer service skills and be incredibly detail oriented. Our company’s success is highly impacted by the accuracy of information entered by the person in this position.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to incoming inquiries from customers and vendors regarding products and connect them with the appropriate Outside Sales Representative.
- Meet with customers in the showroom or over the phone to efficiently and accurately recommend and order custom products which may include glass shower doors, mirrors, closet shelving, hardware, etc.
- Provide quotes to customers and suppliers using 2D design software and QuickBooks.
- Act as the liaison between Outside Sales, Customers, Contractors, and Suppliers to communicate project selections and details, quickly respond to customer inquiries, and proactively address any issues.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with existing, new, and prospective clients.
- Answer sales phone calls and assist walk-in customers with purchases and design/selection decisions.
- May assist with invoicing as needed.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be very detail oriented
- Minimum of 2 years customer service or sales related experience required
- Proficient in MSOffice Suite
- Familiarity with QuickBooks a plus
- Familiarity with 2D design software a plus
- Construction industry experience a plus
- HSD or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Walking and standing intermittently throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
