Description We are providing an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join our team located in Greer, South Carolina. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Legal Secretary will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing administrative support to our legal team, managing case files, and maintaining client relations. Responsibilities: Utilize legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Case Management Software for various tasks including briefing and document management. Manage client relations, ensuring all inquiries and concerns are promptly addressed. Use the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for accessing public property records. Handle calendar management for the legal team, scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines. Perform billing functions accurately, using software like CompuLaw. Liaise with clients, legal professionals, and court officials in a professional manner. Maintain and update legal documents using Adobe Acrobat. Utilize your familiarity with consumer electronics for efficient task completion. Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements. Perform other related tasks as required, showcasing your ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment. Requirements Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, and CompuLaw. Ability to manage billing functions effectively. Experience in briefing and calendar management. Strong skills in client relations. Knowledge of consumer electronics. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong typing and computer skills. Experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
