Budget Analyst

Description We are in search of a Budget Analyst to join our non-profit organization based in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. As a Budget Analyst, you will be central to the financial planning and expenditure monitoring of our organization. Responsibilities: Accurate processing and validation of departmental budget requests and submissions Providing sound recommendations and precise budget projections for future planning Collaborating with financial personnel to gather sufficient data to justify budget requests Continual supervision of expenditure against the approved budget of the organization Identifying and resolving any discrepancies found during variance analysis Preparation of financial presentations with clear and comprehensive data Utilizing Tyler Technologies Munis for efficient budgeting and forecasting Adherence to Federal Government Reporting and GASB standards in all financial processes Monitoring and managing departmental expenses and goals Creating and delivering presentations to communicate financial data effectively. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Budget Analyst or similar role. Proficiency in Tyler Technologies Munis & Cleargov software. Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing an operating budget. Proven track record in preparing annual operating budgets. Experience in managing department budgets and expenses. Ability to align department goals with financial capabilities. Knowledge of Federal Government Reporting procedures. Familiarity with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines. Proficiency in creating and delivering financial presentations. Strong skills in budget forecasting. Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE). Experience in monitoring and tracking expenditures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
