This position is based at our Hodges, SC location.Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.94Position Overview:The assembly coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating to ensure manufacturing or support schedules effectively meet customer requirements and company commitments for product/service quality and timeliness. Manage unit operations and schedules to ensure the most effective use of materials and other company resources within assigned functional areas, within or below defined production or operational costs. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours.In this function you will:You will lead the supply chain materials process to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work. Sustainment of 5S+ in area. Use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from receiving area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the work centers. Cross train and flex or stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. Provide coordination for raw material warehouse including assembly parts storeroom and raw material storeroom (bar and housing) within the Hodges facility. Utilize computer, including the utilization of DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet, to maintain control of floor stock and floor records. Develop daily/weekly production plan for designated department/area per the production schedule to meet schedule ship dates Review and update status of orders and materials with manufacturing supervisors, team leads, supply chain, customer service, and KanBan expeditors. Required to operate a forklift to perform job duties. Support the material handlers with receiving as needed, and other job responsibilities as required. Maintain high levels of quality in assigned areas of functional responsibility. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all storage areas are to 5S standards. Ensure all material storage is compliant with EHS guidelines. Guide and oversee work operations to respond positively to unusual situations, changes, and material shortages. Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent. Prior experience working in assembly Prior experience working in an ETO (engineered to order) and CTO (configured to order) environmentSkills:Position Criteria: Proven problem-solving skills. Computer Savvy Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
