We will only accept applications from local candidates currently based in South Africa.Job PurposeThe Pharmaceutical Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting, detailing, and driving sales growth of the Dr. Reddy's portfolio within the South Vaal territory. The incumbent will develop strong relationships with pharmacies, and key stakeholders while ensuring achievement of sales objectives and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe job incumbent will be responsible for the following within the Dr. Reddy's portfolio:Selling, detailing, and promoting products within the designated territory to targeted private-sector clients.Achieving territory sales targets and implementing effective territory management plans.Assisting with the organization and execution of divisional activities, conferences, speaker programs, and other promotional events within the designated territory and nationally where required.Implementing action plans in accordance with the Company's sales and marketing strategy.Personally visiting and maintaining regular engagement with targeted healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and key customers critical to business performance.Building, maintaining, and expanding strong professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.Maintaining an accurate and updated database of all targeted customers and accounts.Identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities within the territory.Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager to maximize business growth opportunities.Monitoring competitor activities and providing relevant market intelligence.Ensuring timely and accurate territory reporting and administration.Reporting adverse events, medical information queries, and product technical complaints in accordance with internal pharmacovigilance and quality processes.Adhering to all company policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.Essential Skills and CompetenciesA thorough understanding of the South African Private Pharmaceutical Industry and healthcare environment.Experience in generic pharmaceutical sales is highly desirable, the preferred candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen and a solid understanding of the current OTC & generic pharmacy environmentStrong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.Ability to effectively communicate product information and influence target audiences.Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.Strong commercial acumen and business development capabilities.Ability to efficiently manage resources and budgets within company guidelines.Good understanding of pharmaceutical sales and marketing principles.Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate product and disease-area knowledge.Strong planning, organizational, and territory management skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.Mandatory RequirementsMinimum 2–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience within the South Vaal territory.Strong existing relationships with pharmacies and healthcare professionals within South Vaal will be highly advantageous.Candidates must currently reside in the Vaal region or South Johannesburg (JHB South).Proven track record of achieving pharmaceutical sales targets.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Behavioral CompetenciesHigh level of integrity and adherence to all compliance guidelines.Customer-focused and performance-driven.Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.Strong relationship-building capability.Collaborative, trustworthy, and team-oriented.Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic business environment.Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and ownership.Territory RequirementPrimary Territory: South VaalCandidates with established market coverage experience and a strong customer network within the South Vaal region will be given preference.
