OceanaGold’s Haile Gold Mine is looking for an Underground Equipment Operator to join our Underground Operations team. This role is responsible for operating equipment safely and productively while supporting the day-to-day needs of our underground mining operation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced equipment operator who takes pride in safe work, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable working in a challenging underground mining environment.
What You’ll Do:Operate underground equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.Follow direction from your Supervisor and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.Perform all work in accordance with site safety requirements, procedures, and mandatory training.Maintain equipment through proper operation, inspections, and housekeeping.Support underground activities by handling and transporting materials such as cement, stick powder, ground-support bolts, and wire panels.Work safely in varying weather conditions and challenging underground environments, including areas with water.Communicate and collaborate with Underground Operations, Underground Maintenance, and contractors to support production and site needs.
