We are looking for a long term caregiver for my 89 y.o. mother for 2 days a week. Days are Flexible The hrs are 10 am to 7 PM. 18 Hrs a week Lunch is paid. She lives in Murrell's Inlet next to the Golf course. She is almost -full care. The job includes diaper changing, due to incontinence- both urine and feces (this work is not for the faint of heart). She is 122 lbs and 5 ft tall,she BARELY helps with the transfer so please be skilled and strong in this aspect of care, we do have an electric invacare Hoyer Lift that is single person use, but you must be very skilled to use it. This is a lovely home with NO pets. She is NOT sick, she is bed bound due to EXTREME arthritis encasing her entire spine and causing borderline paralysis. She is NOT in pain. You will not be micro-managed, a thorough background check WILL be run, (so do not waste our time or yours). Her main joy is bird watching on the back patio so the transfer is non-negotiable. Students and avid readers are encouraged to apply, since she does not enjoy non-stop excessive talkers & there is a lot of down time. She may be grouchy at first and difficult, then she warms up. Light house work is required. Pay is above average for the area and done with Zelle, we have used that for years without problems.
