Help Wanted: Experienced Boat Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Mechanic to join our team! If you have a passion for marine engines and are well-versed in working on Yamaha, Suzuki, and Mercury engines, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Yamaha, Suzuki, and Mercury outboard and inboard engines.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, fuel system cleaning, and part replacements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel-related issues.
- Conduct engine rebuilds, tune-ups, and performance upgrades.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs and provide estimates.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest marine engine technologies and repair techniques.
- Able to drive a boat on the water for diagnoses and testing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a marine mechanic, specifically with Yamaha, Suzuki, and Mercury engines.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, fuel systems, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification from a recognized marine mechanic training program is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
