YOUR ROLE: Read and interpret moderate to complex part drawingsPerform quality system and process audits, document findings and reportPerform dimensional analysis on component parts and/or assembliesPerform and evaluate process capability/process data studies using MinitabDevelop data collection methodology with Quality EngineerUse precision measurement devices to perform dimensional inspection on componentsPerform and evaluate measurement system uncertaintyUtilize Blue Yonder to create inspection lots, locate, block, release, and move product as neededDevelop simple functional Go/NO go gauging and gauge layoutsPerform process parameter audits against established standards, setup sheets, control plans, preventative maintenance schedules etc.Create and update quality documentation as needed within production part approval process and engineering change release with quality engineerAble to make decisions on product quality and dispositionPerform product audits as needed utilizing Blue YonderDevelop inspection plans and gauging as needed under direction of the QE/SupervisorReview gauging criteria on new product and develop appropriate gauging methods with quality engineer/supervisorCreate and update gauge boxes, gauge banks as needed with quality engineerProvide guidance on cosmetics, gauging, standard work and other quality related topics to production inspectors, auditors, and other associates as neededPerform material review and analysis on customer return material as neededGenerate and track area metric reports utilizing developed templates utilizing various programs such as MESCollect and analyze first pass yield dataWork with production, engineers, quality team, and Fiberon management to resolve quality issuesMake product dispositions, respond to and communicate daily on quality issuesPerforms other duties as assigned by manager
