Job Description SummaryJoin our dynamic Defense and Systems team at GE Aerospace as a Senior Contracts Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Electrical Power Systems Contracts Team. This position offers the unique opportunity to lead and support proposal and contract execution activities for US Government (USG) End-Use programs. As a key leader, you will oversee a diverse range of contracts and proposals within the Electrical Power portfolio, driving process integration and development to meet business needs, fostering a culture of collaboration, and contributing to our strategic business goals.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Collaboratively review customer solicitations with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to craft compelling proposals.

Proactively identify and assess contract risks, securing negotiation positions aligned with our internal policies.

Skillfully negotiate a variety of contracts (government, commercial, and international) and related agreements, ensuring favorable terms for GE.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with a diverse customer base, enhancing business opportunities and partnerships.

Effectively communicate negotiated contract terms to relevant business functions, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Lead the contract management lifecycle for assigned contracts, from formation and performance to close-out, ensuring smooth execution and resolution of issues.

Drive negotiations for cost assertions and claims, safeguarding company interests and financial integrity.

Offer expert contract interpretation advice to functional teams, facilitating informed decision-making.

Innovate and propose solutions to meet internal client requirements, enhancing process efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required.

At least seven (5) years of experience in roles focused on the formation and execution of government, commercial, or international contracts.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing complex contract negotiations and relationships.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and with diverse groups of stakeholders.
