Monitoring and document contractor's man-hours, progress, and compliance with standards, specifications, and drawings. You will also provide construction and maintenance engineering assistance.
Ensuring that contractors and maintenance technicians are working safely by helping them develop an overall project safety plan, using a pre-task job plan for every job and following BASF Safety procedures.
Providing construction estimating and scheduling for capital and expense projects.
Developing strategies and scheduling that will optimize use of resources and coordinate the project construction and maintenance work done during the annual shutdown.
Working successfully in a team environment, you will participate in model reviews for projects and provide useful constructability feedback to the engineering partner.
Coordinating pre-commissioning of new installations which includes pipeline pressure testing, I/O checks, instrument, and analyzer functional testing and “owner acceptance” activities Engineering, EHS, Operations, and the Contractor.
Developing conceptual and detailed cost estimates for capital projects and maintenance repairs. Additionally, you will use these skills to perform studies and analyses, prepare cost reports, and assist in the development and improvement of cost estimating and cost controlling tools and processes.
If you
Bachelors in construction maintenance or related fields (preferred)
2+ years of experience in Construction Maintenance, Construction Planning and/or Contract Management.
Can read and interpret architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design documentation, as well as instrumentation design documentation (e.g., wiring diagrams, logic tables, loop drawings, etc.)
Have in-depth technical knowledge of various types of equipment including, but not limited to tanks, reactors, scrubbers, spray dryers, calciners, tray furnaces, feeders, thermal oxidizers, and agitators.
Have a strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
Have education combined with your construction, maintenance, and capital project estimating experience, you will ensure new architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrument installations.
