We are seeking a capable Geotechnician to deliver accurate, efficient and high-quality testing services across laboratory and field environments in Kalgoorlie.About the RoleYou will test and analyse construction materials using destructive and non-destructive techniques, applying your technical knowledge and judgement with limited supervision. You will also support the development of Assistant Geotechnicians and Technical Assistants while maintaining safe, reliable and client-focused service.Enjoy a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, with overtime available based on operational needs. The role also requires flexibility to work across Perth Metropolitan area and at site-based laboratories as needed.What You Will Be DoingCollect, log and prepare construction material samples for testingComplete routine laboratory and field testing to relevant standardsSet up, calibrate and maintain testing equipmentInterpret work instructions, select suitable procedures and equipment, and follow client test requestsAnalyse test data, prepare reports and issue completed results to customersBook client jobs, send confirmations and communicate with clientsMaintain clean work areas and follow safe working practicesReport hazards and contribute to continuous laboratory improvementSupport and develop Assistant Geotechnicians and Technical Assistants
