This role supports transitioning service members through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, providing them with valuable civilian career skills and a pathway to employment within the dynamic world of wireless communications. The SkillBridge Recruiter will partner with hiring managers, candidates, and military liaisons to ensure a seamless recruiting experience. Serve as the primary point of contact for the DoD SkillBridge program, liaising between MCA, transitioning service members, and military representatives.
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract qualified service members for SkillBridge roles within MCA.
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify and define job requirements and expectations for program placements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with military bases, transition coordinators, and veteran support organizations to promote MCA opportunities.
Guide candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle, including application support, interviews, assessments, and placement recommendations.
Facilitate candidate onboarding and networking processes to ensure a smooth transition into MCA roles.
Conduct follow-up evaluations with participants and hiring managers to assess placement success and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of candidate progress, placement status, and program metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.
Develop promotional materials, presentations, and program information to enhance visibility and engagement within the military community.
Collaborate with the broader Talent Acquisition team to optimize SkillBridge program effectiveness and integrate best practices across recruiting efforts.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in recruitment, HR.
1+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, especially with veteran or military hiring initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to a positive candidate and employee experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers, candidates, colleagues, and external partners.
Proficiency in using MS software, web-based applications, and automated HRIS or ATS systems.
Passion for supporting veterans and the SkillBridge mission, with a service-first mindset.
