NDT Inspector Sr. 1st ShiftAs our NDT Inspector you will conduct inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality, cleanliness, and endurance. Inspection responsibilities include dimensional measurement, nondestructive testing, cleanliness, hardness, and positive material identification. Perform independent inspection via dimensional measurements and nondestructive testing

Perform independent inspections to validate materials, parts, and products meet established standards of strength, quality, cleanliness and endurance.

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards

Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Prepare official inspection reports for submittal to the government

Conduct material receipt and shipping inspections

Assist in developing inspection requirements based on component design drawings

Your Expertise:

High school diploma or equivalent

NDT Level II Inspector (VT/PT/MT/UT)

Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form including but not limited to drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals, and procedures

Proficiency with standard dimensional measurement equipment such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, surface comparators, CMM, etc.

Experience with NAVSEA metrology requirements

Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program experience

Experience programming CMMs

Familiarity with NAVSEA steam plant cleanliness controls and Level I material control

Experience with Navy, ISO 9001, NQA-1, or 10 CFR 50 compliant quality programs

Machining experience, both manual and CNC

High-mix, low volume manufacturing experience

Must be a sole US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting 10 feet.

Ability to perform the following tasks: pushing, pulling, and lifting, requiring the individual to overcome some initial resistance.

Requirement to conduct tasks involving repetitions of tool use, assessing aerobic capacity and tasks where bending, twisting, and stretching of a body segment occurs.

Tasks in which stability of body position is difficult to maintain.
