YWS is looking for an individual to work as a firewood splitter utilizing a commercial grade hydraulic splitter with log lift
Hiring Process:
- Step 1: Conversation to schedule in person interview
- Step 2: In person interview
- Step 3: Run Driver's License with our insurance company for approval to drive for our company
- Step 4: Pre-employment Drug Test at AnyLabTestNow
- Step 5: On-the-job paid interview working with the crew for 1-3 days
Available hours for job:
- We are accepting either a full time or part time person
- Would be a great position for someone attending college or just looking to pick up some extra income
- Flexible hours (from 7am to dark)
- Weekend hours available
Qualifications for person that can split but not deliver ($10-15/hr):
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Be able to work in hot/cold, dry/wet, dusty environments
- Be able to lift in excess of 50lbs
Qualifications for person that can split and make deliveries ($15-20/hr):
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Be able to work in hot/cold, dry/wet, dusty environments
- Be able to lift in excess of 50lbs
- Must have a valid driver's license, we will have our insurance company run your motor vehicle report for approval to drive for us.
- Must be able to drive truck and trailer (including backing into tight spaces)
Job Duties:
- splitting wood (stacking by species)
- making deliveries (if qualified)
- helping customers load wood
How our pay and work week goes:
- Paychecks are weekly
- Normal work week is Mon thru Friday, rain days are typically made up on the weekends.
