The purpose of this job is to manage the general accounting function, as well as oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.In this role you will: Supervise and provide daily oversight of team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviewsAssist the manager in producing and reviewing various financial reportsImplement accounting policies under direction of the managerOversee calculating, posting, verifying, and typing duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical recordsLead day-to-day operations of the groupMaintain and approve Accounts Receivable controls in accordance with Sarbanes-OxleyLead Accounts Receivable projects, both internal and externalOversee and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and validating those transactions with reporting.  Organize and prioritize Accounts Receivable issues ensuring timely resolutionLead process improvements for Accounts Receivable activities including monthly reconciliations
