Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently seeking a Manager, Sales Insights, to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area). This person generates new services to give clients proprietary insights from data.  You’ll lead data acquisition and manage new product development, in the book industry as well as other relevant industries, including travel, hospitality, and entertainment. You’ll partner closely with IT, including the data science and AI team, to support market-leading data modeling and proprietary insights. This position is hybrid and requires a minimum of 4 days at our corporate offices. If you are an IT professional who strives to deliver results through collaborative partnerships, understanding what drives business, and enjoys working in a connected culture, we can’t wait to meet you! The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or directly related year for year experience4 years of experience managing and developing enterprise reporting, including market research, within the content industry (books, media, audio, podcasting, etc)2 years of experience designing or building customer solutions, including but not limited to consulting or product development3+ years of management experience We have a preference for: Knowledge of enterprise reporting for books and awareness of contextual factors impacting sales and demand, such as cultural and political events, marketing campaigns, social media, etcAbility to create and collaborate in the strategic planning processRequires demonstrable sales focus and customer centric approachAbility to recognize obstacles and challenges, determine cause, and takes appropriate action to resolve The Senior Manager, Data Insights key responsibilities are:Essential DutiesSupports business development strategies and initiatives that maximize revenue, margin, and commercial opportunities for the company, and deliver long-term partner relationships.Manages and mentors the Insights team to maintain and grow the business and deliver excellent service to ICG customers.Develop current and new products, incorporating customer feedback and responding to market forces to propel ICG to lead the book industry in insights while also exploring market opportunities outside of books.Works with IT, Customer Care, Finance, Marketing, Product (Ingram iQ), Retail, and Library teams where appropriate to develop solutions and messaging that will drive revenue and profit and serve the needs of ICG customers.Identifies potential new markets that promote long-term growth and proposes deals in response to business opportunities.Provides market, product information, and competitor feedback to executive leadership on data services for the content industry and other opportunities.Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of operations.Manages business operations systems including Salesforce, Qlik and SharePoint, architecting the systems and processes to support and achieve business objectives.Represents Ingram Content Group at industry events and trade shows, and other relevant non-industry events.Partners with Marketing and IDS colleagues to develop and update collateral.Develops and maintains training materials. Train clients (as needed) and internal staff.Hiring Salary Range: $95,295k - $120,834k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
