Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will provide crucial administrative support and contribute to the smooth operation of the office in a variety of ways. This includes overseeing and maintaining an organized workspace, managing logistics for departmental events, and supervising student workers. Key responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient business operations Establish and manage an effective filing and record-keeping system Monitor and manage office supplies, ensuring regular and timely replenishment Train, schedule, and supervise student workers, ensuring high-quality work output Coordinate travel logistics and itineraries as well as schedule appointments and meetings as necessary Handle incoming and outgoing communications in accordance with standard departmental operating procedures Operate and maintain a range of office equipment, including personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and scanners Assist faculty with the efficient use of basic office applications and other technological tools Regularly update departmental websites and ensure content accuracy Design, produce, and distribute other necessary publicity materials Perform general receptionist duties, including greeting visitors and handling inquiries Process various departmental materials as assigned. Requirements Candidate must possess excellent Customer Service skills. Proficiency in Computer Data Entry is required. Must have good organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Should have good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions. Experience in administrative roles is preferred. Must have good knowledge of office procedures and operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is a plus. Should be able to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in Business Administration are a plus. Previous experience in coordinating office activities is preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with various departments and levels of management. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is essential.
