The Business Analyst analyzes requirements, defines options, scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.This position focuses primarily on implementing and sustaining the B2B functionality, using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and other third-party Portal solutions for external customers across IPG. This position may assist and/or lead business discretionary projects and may also serve as a BIM representative for technical-driven initiatives.The Job You Will Perform:

Acts as a liaison between the business and Information Technology on all IT related requests. Represents the needs of the business to IT for business driven and IT/Enterprise driven initiatives. Focuses on the implementation of EDI across IPG sector, including NAC Box, Specialty, Containerboard and Recycling systems, with national accounts and large volume local customers. Coordinates any new business requirements or projects for EDI.

Understands the nature of proposed business/IT changes and will compose functional and technical specifications outlining the necessary changes to the business operation/process, organizational and/or applications.

Documents functional specs for production changes, application enhancements, and new interface development across IPG Sector, including NAC Box, NAC Specialty, Containerboard, and Recycling.

Performs functional process analysis, design, and testing of new and existing business processes.

Manages implementation process for standard messages.

Manages implementation process for more complex EDI interfaces across multiple Order to Cash systems.

Ensures that customer needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with the team and appropriate stakeholders.

Analyzes complex user information flows and needs. Identifies process improvements opportunities that can be enabled by technology.

Delivers collaborative IT/Business solutions which further enhance our overall profit position within the industry.

Coordinates small to medium sized IT projects. May serve as a team lead on specific assignments.

Understands the business and how to work with ITSS and other IT groups to accomplish goals.

Responsible for training users on new information technology solutions.

Understands and works within the framework of the Project Delivery Process (PDP) and the IT Operating Model.

The Skills You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or other related discipline or related experience

4-6 years’ relevant work experience with EDI

Proven success in delivering IT-enabled projects
