Network Engineer

Description We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our IT team! You'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and stability of our computer networks. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).

Manage network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and other security measures.

Monitor network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions to restore network functionality.

Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration backups.

Document network configurations and procedures for future reference.

Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure network integration with other systems.

Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in a network engineering role.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and concepts (routing, switching, DNS).

Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).

Experience with network configuration tools (e.g., Cisco CLI, PowerShell).

Experience with network security concepts and technologies (firewalls, VPNs).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
