This role is for someone who wants to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Vow to meet business deadlines
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Account reconciliation experience
Deep understanding of cash reconciliations
Solid understanding of month end closings
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
