Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

Skilled with ERP systems

Account reconciliation experience preferred

Deep understanding of cash reconciliations

Month end closings experience

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
