Are you passionate about food and looking to make a difference in your community? The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Cook to join our team at the Joe C. Davis Outdoor Center! Whether you’re experienced in the kitchen or eager to learn, this role offers the opportunity to provide outstanding meals while supporting our mission of service.
Starting pay is $15.00 an hour (or more, depending on experience).
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and serve meals for our guests, ensuring quality and satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support special events and work as part of a dedicated team
- Communicate concerns or needs to leadership and contribute to a culture of service
What You Bring:
- Age: 18+
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No experience needed—just a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food safety guidelines
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to the YMCA mission
Certifications Required:
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification within two weeks of hire
