Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionThe Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electronic design and development of nuclear instrumentation and measurement systems used for radiation detection and radioisotope identification. This role involves all types of board-level circuit design with an emphasis on FPGA design, including both board-level design and FPGA programming.Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, simulate, implement, and validate low-noise electronics using analog, digital, and FPGA design techniques.

Execute feasibility and prototyping, PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterization of new designs.

Support compliance testing and documentation.

Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Customer Service.

Collaborate with Marketing to align product design and performance specifications with overall product requirements.

Develop and/or implement new technologies to address market opportunities.

Essential Skills

10+ years of experience with electronic design.

Proficiency in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (Board level Design and Programming).

Experience with electronic design and simulation software (e.g., Modelsim).

Implementation of digital signal processing for systems.

Digital circuit (logic) design: Microprocessors, Field Programmable Gate Arrays.

Mixed signal and/or analog circuit design experience including amplifier circuits, active and passive filters, transistor circuits, linear and switching power supplies, impedance matching and transformation, and A/D converters.

System level software/hardware integration.

Designing high accuracy and low noise measurement circuits, including component selection, schematic capture, modeling, and layout techniques.

Designing instrumentation for nuclear measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of hardware, electrical engineering, electrical design, analog, PCB, schematic, digital, FPGA, PCB design, and circuit design.

Work EnvironmentThe position offers a hybrid work schedule with office hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
