The Longboard in Cruz Bay, St. John is accepting resumes for a Sous Chef.

In Fall 2019 we will be expanding with a new concept and have begun our search for the right team members to make this expansion possible.

The Sous Chef position will include menu creation, daily specials development, cost management, ordering, scheduling, receiving, kitchen supervision, menu execution, prep and line work. Individual must be efficient, organized and display the ability to run a clean and sanitary workplace.

Knowledge of seafood purchasing, fish butchering, maintaining optimal food cost and labor cost, recipe creation and waste/shrinkage management is a must.

Knowledge of Latin, Asian, Mexican and Caribbean Cuisine is preferred.

Knowledge and willingness to work in a technologically advanced workplace is a must; accepting responsibility to engage in emails, spreadsheets, mobile applications, etc.

Two Days Off Per Week

Two Weeks Paid Vacation [10 days]

2-3 Years Experience Required

Twelve Month Contract Required

Onsite Interview and Work Session Required

Competitive Compensation

Compensation based on experience and capabilities of individual candidates.

Starting pay - $40k+.
