Procurement Specialist

Description We are in need of a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Alvarado, Texas. As a Procurement Specialist, your role will be pivotal in managing the purchasing and receiving processes, overseeing production schedules, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. You will also be tasked with implementing inventory management best practices and driving continuous improvement efforts across operations. Responsibilities: Efficiently handle purchasing and receiving processes to ensure materials are procured in a timely manner Manage production scheduling to maintain a consistent and effective workflow Establish and preserve beneficial relationships with vendors to guarantee quality and cost-effective procurement Monitor inventory levels closely to maintain accuracy and ensure availability of materials Implement best practices in inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize waste Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and issues, offering prompt and effective resolution Drive continuous improvement initiatives and automation across operations for enhanced efficiency Track and report cost-saving initiatives while identifying areas for improvement Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and encourage cross-training among team members Maintain control over General Ledger (GL) accounts related to operations and purchasing. Requirements Proficiency in the use of 3M tools. Experience with Coupa software. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP solutions. Ability to use About Time software effectively. Understanding of budget processes. Experience with buying processes. Excellent customer service skills. Experience in invoice processing and management.
