Direct Concrete is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to run Wheel Loaders and Powder Trucks. In our mobile batching model, the loader operator is the pacemaker of production. You will be responsible for keeping the mobile plant continuously fed with aggregates and managing material stockpiles. If the loader stops, the plant stops—so we need operators who are efficient, consistent, and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support: Operate Wheel Loaders to continuously feed sand and rock into mobile batch plant hoppers without disrupting the production mix.
Material Handling: Manage aggregate stockpiles to prevent segregation and contamination.
Loading/Unloading: Assist with unloading material delivery trucks and moving equipment around the site.
Equipment Care: Perform daily pre-shift inspections (grease, fluids, tires) to ensure the loader remains operational throughout the pour.
Safety: Operate in tight commercial zones, maintaining constant awareness of ground crews, mixer trucks, and plant infrastructure.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating Wheel Loaders (experience in a batch plant, quarry, or feed lot setting is a plus).
Ability to maintain a steady production pace for long durations.
Understanding of aggregate handling (preventing cross-contamination of materials).
NCCER or relevant safety certifications preferred.
