Job Title: Aircraft InspectorJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to perform inspections on various aircraft and assist in managing non-conformance reports. The ideal candidate should have experience signing off on airworthiness. This role involves spending 80% of the time on the floor and 20% behind a desk, still within the hangar.

Work primarily on Embraer 135s, Falcon 50, and other small jets and prop planes

Pay:

$40-$45 per hour

Shift:

The shift hours are from 7 am to 4 pm.

Placement Details:

A&P license required

This role is based in a corporate aircraft service center and 145 repair station, the work involves both hands-on aircraft inspections and desk-based tasks within the hangar.

Leads teams in inspecting and evaluating the effectiveness of a wide variety of licensee engineering programs, processes, and support activities for reactor facilities in such areas as design verification, plant modifications, equipment qualification, and equipment evaluation including equipment aging, maintenance, performance and testing. Other inspection responsibilities may include in-service inspection, structural and material integrity, aging management, and license renewal; mechanical systems and components such as pumps, valves, ventilation, and heat exchangers; and electrical engineering and/or instrumentation and controls (I&C), fire protection and cyber security. 2. Resolves and assists others in resolving complex engineering technical inspection issues within the regulatory framework, especially with respect to the enforcement, allegation, and significance determination processes, and efficiently/effectively communicates these issues to higher level officials. 3. Participates in emergency response to plant events and participates in and leads reactive team inspections (e.g., special inspection teams.). 4. Participates in NRC communication/out-reach initiatives involving licensees, the public, and federal, state, and local officials. 5. Provides leadership in assigned program areas, ensuring program needs are met, branch participation in decisions, and appropriate information is disseminated. 6. Actively pursues interactions and maintains professional contacts with Agency counterparts in areas of technical responsibility and leads/participates in related assessment, regulatory, and improvement initiatives. 7. Facilitates knowledge management by acquiring/maintaining areas of technical expertise and mentoring/ training other staff. 8. Substantive work is conducted at nuclear power plant sites with an emphasis on in plant field observation and evaluation of equipment and interaction with facility engineers to ensure compliance with regulations and industry codes and standards and identification and resolution of plant safety issues. This position places particular emphasis on the evaluation of complex technical issues related the inspections and expertise described above and necessitates the ability to expeditiously acquire knowledge and build expertise with the goal of effectively conducting related inspection activities. Manual Chapter 1245 full qualifications is required. \"Additional regulatory processes\" most applicable to this position include generating, performing, coordinating or involvement in MD 8.3evaluations; reactive inspections (SIT/AIT/IIT); confirmatory action letters; supplemental inspections (IP 95001/95002/95003); MC 0350 plant inspections; NOEDs; ORAT inspections; emergency response (actual event); new plant construction inspections; Temporary Instruction inspections; licensee vendor/contractor demonstrations/laboratory testing observations; NRC Generic Communication generation/issuance; NRC Generic Issues Program proposal; OI investigation assists; vendor inspections; resolving disputed findings/violations as independent reviewer; MC2515 - Appendix C inspections; enforcement involving willfulness against individuals or using discretion under Section 3.0 of the NRC Enforcement Policy; or assisting HQ staff in addressing/evaluating 2.206 petitions or license amendment requests.
