Wastewater Treatment : This role can be based anywhere in the United States and will require travel to customer construction sites across the US. In this role, you will oversee the on-site construction activities for wastewater treatment facilities. 10+ years construction management in an industrial environment, such an an O&G refinery, chemical plant, power plant, or mine. 10+ years on multi-unit buildings or very large shopping centers. Expert in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams P&IDs as well as blueprintsDay One: We offer a full benefits package to include Flexible Time Off (FTO ) , health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and additional miscellaneous benefitsXylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this positionCore Responsibilities and TasksLead a team, people manager skillsOversees Waste Water Treatment construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safetyEnsure the maintenance of a hazard-free work environment and safe operationsGuarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and proceduresEnsures that project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practicesProvides technical support to Project ManagersPerforms change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiationsCoordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittalsAssists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractor's construction schedules.Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changesReports the status of projects to business and market leadersAttend client meetings as neededLead interface with local onsite Customer if/when Project Manager is not presentPosition RequirementsBS in Civil Engineer, Construction Management, or other related discipline with 5 years of experience or 10 years of work experience in lieu of degree10+ years construction management in an industrial environment, such an an O&G refinery, chemical plant, power plant, or mine. If they only have commercial experience, it must include 10+ years on multi-unit buildings or very large shopping centersSite leader in safetyLead a team, people manager skillsProficient in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams P&IDs as well as blueprintsProficient with MS Office suite of toolsKnowledge of construction technologyEngineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry experienceFamiliarity with project and department budget process and toolsRisk assessment/managementLeadership abilityMust be able to multitask.Effective communication, and presentation skillsAbility to read, understand, and direct work based on engineering drawings, schematics and construction documentsAdditional Details 100% travel to job sites in the US Vehicle is providedJob postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range.
