The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to join UTA during an exciting period of growth and contribute as the university broadens its impact.Job Summary The Project Manager (PM) leads the Academic Resource Planning ( ARP ) team and academic colleges to identify processes that need to be improved and standardized across colleges, as well as best practices that need to be integrated into the processes in the colleges and departments. The PM leads project teams and key stakeholders through project improvements, beginning with identifying the project through the assimilation of the new processes into the daily work of the college staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead project teams and key stakeholders through project initiation to define the scope and project charter, perform stakeholder analysis, identify project approach, and plan and facilitate project kickoff.

Drive the project planning stage and facilitate team collaborations to identify requirements and develop a project plan that includes budget, timeline, risk register, resource planning, and communication approach.

Facilitate team collaborations to develop a change management plan to assimilate new processes based on process analysis, marketing and communication plans, and training needs for all project stakeholders.

Manage project portfolios and resources in line with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards.

Manage project risks and create risk response strategies and options, including escalation and mitigation.

Monitor project activities through the project life cycle for quality and efficiency to ensure alignment with project goals and approach.

Provide and communicate project status updates to leadership, key stakeholders, and project teams through the project lifecycle.

Guide project team to use best project management practices and PMO standards and develop and maintain required project documentation through the project life cycle.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience working with academic units in higher education.

Knowledge of business processes in higher education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
