Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Days – Dialysis Unit for Texas Health Arlington MemorialWork location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 West Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, TX 76012Work hours: Full-time, Day Shift - 3/12 hour shifts/week with 7-8 call shifts in a 6 week schedule

Work environment: Inpatient Dialysis Department – Chronically ill dialysis patients with multiple diagnoses such as renal disease, kidney failure, chronic kidney disease etc.

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

RN - Registered Nurse upon hire

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire required

1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

1 year of acute dialysis is preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

assesses the patient

plans the care of the patient

intervenes as appropriate

evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
