Our client in Southwest Austin is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a contract based assignment that will last 6 months. This position will pay $26-28/hr depending on experience. The shift will be Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm. Please see the Job Description, and Job Requirements below. Job Description:
General accounting and financial analysis functions
Preparing and positing journal entries
Generating and maintaining various general ledger accounts
Prepare a variety of medium to complex financial schedules, reports and reconciliations
Analyze monthly financial statements and resolve and questions or discrepancies
Job Requirements:
BBA degree with a major in Accounting preferred
3-5 years accounting experience required, preferably in the financial services industry
Professional strength in financial reporting and analyses
Proficiency in:Excel, Word, NetSuite Accounting System, and/or the ability to adapt to new various accounting systems
Ability to prioritize processes and projects to meet deadlines
