Architectural Tile & Stone is looking for an Architectural Estimator.
A little about us: we have been in business for 25 years. Family owned and operated, the oldest fabricator in town, and have been fortunate to work on amazing projects. We import slabs and tile, tile distributor and full turnkey slab fabricator for mostly residential projects. Job Description:
We are looking for someone to bid the jobs that the sales team brings in. Sometimes the jobs are too large for the sales team to stay focused due to client requests. The Estimator position will be able to bid without the disruptions. This is a position for someone who knows and loves architecture and construction.
-Estimate projects for the sales staff by reviewing architectural drawings and bidding stone countertops/walls/floor/ceilings/tubs.
-Communicate with vendors to get material slab size and pricing (if it's not our own inventory being bid).
-Create computer layouts (sketch-up or similar) to determine quantity of slabs needed.
-Review bids with sales team to collaborate on details.
-Assist in change orders that client makes to the project. Bid the changes as necessary.
-Create proposals of work to be completed for clients review and approval.
-Create stone slab job information folders to provide to team (templater and shop)
-Help be the liaison between sales and shop.
-Participate in sales meetings
-As a secondary responsibility to slab bids, assist the sales team with Tile Selection Sheets. Assist the team with gathering product information for a specification sheet to send to the client for their use.
-All essential duties necessary for completion or performance of the job and as directed by management. This may include adding slabs to Slab-ware, our online website of available slabs for purchase.
Requirements:
-MUST be able to read plans, elevations, sections and details, and navigate a large set of plans with ease.
-This is not an entry level position. Looking for someone with some experience.
-Must be legal to work in the US.
-Must be VERY DETAILED and organized.

-Working knowledge of stone fabrication industry a plus.
