Job DescriptionThe Role: As an Associate Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working on procurement tickets, placing orders with various vendors, tracking status, and providing timely updates to the end users. The ideal candidate will be able to work in the queue daily while identifying opportunities for process improvement. They will also work with various vendors to ensure their catalogs stay up to date and that Whole Foods Market can source the technology equipment needed. With a strong focus on process, they will work within established processes ensuring adherence to standards, while also providing feedback and suggestions for improvements to increase efficiency, save money, and improve customer satisfaction.The Team: This role will join our Technology Support Planning & Intake team; specifically focused on technology hardware procurement. We are a team that supports the Technology Field & Support Services team, focusing on financial planning and management, scoping and sequencing planned fieldwork and procurement of hardware and services.Responsibilities:
Single pre-existing application within single technical domain.
Supports a defined segment of the organization (e.g. region, functional area).
Works with region / functional leaders to understand business objectives and imperatives.
Assesses currently applied IT / technical systems to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
Identifies and applies technical and process enhancements to improve functionality.
Translates new or unmet business needs into technical and system requirements.
Partners with technical team members to identify technologies and methods to meet new business needs.
Provides system application support.
Trains end users in the application of existing and new technologies.
Procure hardware and services, working with various vendors
Responds to day-to-day questions on feature functionality.
Supports grooming of items in application backlogs.
Skills:
Ability to understand multiple priorities and adjust plans / schedules in an effort to achieve business objectives.
Possesses technical computer knowledge and basic understanding of concepts and principles.
Familiar with software design, systems architecture, change control, and support processes.
Familiar with business financials and financial systems
Understands ITSM and has experience with IT ticketing systems
Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
Understands necessity of tailoring communication to meet audience needs.
Builds solid working relationships with fellow Team Members, allied technical Team Members, and with customers / clients.
Builds stable working relationships internally.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
