Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer located in Austin, Texas. This role primarily involves working within the fields of Immigration Law and Criminal Defense. The chosen candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court, visiting detained clients, conducting consultations, and preparing precise legal documentation. Responsibilities Engage in legal research and gather relevant case information to identify crucial legal issues. Represent clients in various court proceedings including Individual Hearings, Removal and Asylum Proceedings, Bond Hearings, and Cancellation of Removal Proceedings. Interact with clients for consultations and case preparation, offering legal advice on immigration and criminal matters. Visit detained clients in jail and detention facilities as part of client representation. Prepare applications and motions for Criminal and Immigration Court with accurate and precise writing. Ensure the review of applications and evidence packets for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Communicate effectively with court staff and personnel. Meet all necessary deadlines for document filing. Contribute to a positive team environment and work well with others. Utilize skills in Immigration Law, Criminal Law, and Bar Admission to effectively perform job duties.Requirements Must hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school Must have proficiency in Immigration Law and Criminal Law Fluency in Spanish language is required Must be admitted to State Bar of Texas Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive strategies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to negotiate and interact with clients effectively Must maintain confidentiality and act with discretion Ability to work independently and in a team Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated understanding of legal language and principles, including evidence and court procedures Must possess strong ethical and professional standards.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
