This a Healthcare Data Analyst that resides on the business side representing IT. Must have experience with Data Dictionaries, Data Mapping, Data Lineage and experience with SQL, R, Python, SAS and Tableau, gathering requirements and presenting them. Experience with Governance is a plus. Will be tech screened on the above.
The following is an opening we have available for a Data Analyst – Claims and Clinical position for a local Healthcare company. Candidates must have Healthcare experience and can work at one of the following locations after the pandemic Bloomfield CT, New York NY, Franklin Lakes NJ, McLean VA, Raleigh NC, Denver CO, Austin TX, Chicago IL, Nashville TN, Chattanooga, TN, Phoenix AZ, Pittsburgh PA.

Data Analyst
The Enterprise Data Strategy team within Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) is built to help drive the improvement in the accessibility and quality of our data assets and tools, and allow us to deliver data solutions faster than we do today. Our ultimate goal is to ensure ability to grow is unconstrained by any limitations of our data. The Enterprise Data Strategy team is comprised of business and technical teams spanning Customer, Provider, Client (Buyer) and Intermediary (Producer) Data Domains as well as foundational enterprise data teams. The Client (Buyer) and Intermediary (Producer) Data Domains team establishes client and producer data strategies through an Enterprise lens and ensures roadmap delivery for all enterprise client and producer data domain initiatives.

The Data Analyst – Claims and Clinical Domain requires a candidate with strong data analysis skills with Claims for Clinical experience to understand, document and analyze data within Customer data assets as well as document data requirements from source to target data migration.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct data analysis and comparison across systems
• Perform data profiling activities to provide statistics and informative summaries for integration of new source system data into environment
• Build out data dictionary including data definitions, data values, and formats
• Establish data collection mapping process for multiple systems, in collaboration with Data Stewards
• Investigate/document data lineage throughout data lifecycle
• Extrapolate business rules based on data analysis and document analysis findings
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and create output reports for business use
• Work collaboratively with Business, IT, data modelers, data quality analysts, and delivery teams to analyze data
Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience performing data analysis
• 5+ years’ experience in producing data dictionaries content
• 5+ years’ experience working with data tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, and Tableau
• 3+ years’ experience with data profiling
• Ability to analyze large datasets
• Ability to create comprehensive reports
• Experience documenting/presenting data analysis findings
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience and working knowledge of data in a healthcare data management environment is a plus.
