Description Job SummaryPrimary emphasis will be placed on daily monitoring of implemented security tools and review/triage of potential security incidents. Essential Functions Analyze potential infrastructure security incidents to determine if incident qualifies as a legitimate security breach. Assist in coordinating security efforts, processing security-related services, change control, security research. Perform network incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident and preserving evidence for potential legal action. Interface with technical personnel and other teams as required. Initiate escalation procedure to counteract potential threats/vulnerabilities. Appropriately inform and advise management on incidents and incident prevention. Document and conform to processes related to security monitoring.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Must understand various attack vectors and vulnerabilities. Ability to work independently and with a team. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled. Retains objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress. Natural ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing, agile environment with minimum oversight.Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience 2+ years of experience in Information Security Incident Handling required. 2+ years of experience in Forensic Analysis preferred. Previous work in Security Operations Centers Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools Experience with Vulnerability scanners.
