Description We are looking for a Medical Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role involves transforming paper records into digital format within a demanding healthcare environment. You will be expected to enter and update patient information into electronic health record systems, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff.Responsibilities: Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC. Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure the efficient flow of information. Perform data quality checks and audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of records. Assist in report generation and data analysis to support decision-making processes. Organize and manage paper and electronic files to ensure easy retrieval and use. Provide general administrative support to the team to facilitate efficient operations. Utilize skills in Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), EHR SYSTEM, IBM AS/400, McKesson, Microsoft Excel, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Customer Service, Data Entry, and Documentation to perform duties efficiently and accurately. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Data Entry Clerk or a similar role for at least 1 year Proficiency in using EHR SYSTEM and IBM AS/400 Experience with the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) will be highly valued Familiarity with the McKesson software is a plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in billing functions and claim administration Excellent customer service skills Fast typing skills with a keen eye for detail Exceptional skills in data entry and documentation Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities High school diploma or equivalent education level Willingness to work in different shifts if necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
