As part of Renesas’s Performance Computing Power Business, you will contribute to the development of our next-generation ICs for low-voltage, high-current, power applications.  This highly experienced team is seeking an experienced DSP and Systems design engineer to expand the team’s capabilities.We are seeking a Principal IC Design Engineer to specify, develop, and document the architecture and design of the digital regulation loop control sub-system for AI, Server, and emerging high performance computing product spaces.  This position supports our highest value loop intellectual property and requires deep understanding of control theory, mixed-signal DSP architecture and implementation, and the application of those concepts to real-world customer applications.What you will do:Develop high-level System Verilog models of digital control loop functionalityImplement synthesizable RTL to realize performance DSP hardware within process, voltage, and area constraintsWork with Applications and Systems Engineering team members to architect solutionsTest and Validate Digital Loop features in FPGA prototype systems designed to operate supporting real-time power regulationSupport training for DV, applications, and validation engineers on control loop theory of operation and implementation-specific behaviorsMentor and train junior DSP and digital designersTriage and debug customer systems with applications engineers to identify, root cause, and solve field-reported bugs or exceptions.Work within the new product development process to scope work and schedule time needed to support IC tapeouts
