A responsible professional interested in helping management evaluate the quality of unemployment insurance fraud determinations. You are a self-starting, motivated, collaborative problem solver who understands the value of quality assurance work in state government.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Quality Assurance Specialist III performs advanced (senior-level) quality assurance work. Work involves coordinating the planning, development, and administration of internal quality assurance and compliance activities. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:-Develop and implement quality assurance programs.-Plan and organize case review assignments.-Conduct case and quality control reviews of programs.-Verify information received from case readings, sources, and clients.-Participate in corrective action planning and service improvement activities.-Identify cases for investigation of potential fraud and for potential recoupment and restitution.-Review and analyze cases, note deficiencies, and extract data to be verified; collect performance data; identify adverse trends; and determine compliance with service delivery standards, program requirements, and policies and procedures.-Document review findings.-Communicate final determination of case review to appropriate staff.-Analyze quality control error findings for trends or patterns.-Perform related work as assigned.YOU QUALIFY WITH:
-Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in social work or a related field plus two years of full-time experience in social service financial eligibility determination, auditing, or investigating work.
-One year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
- Knowledge of the Texas Unemployment Compensation Act
- Experience in the unemployment insurance program applications and benefits system
- Experience using scanner, faxes, printers.
- Experience issuing unemployment fraud or identity determinations.-Experience in reporting data findingsYOU GAIN:
