We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThis position is responsible for assuring survey readiness at all of the St. David’s Surgical Hospital. Responsibility includes working with staff at all levels in the organization and continuously evaluating and improving processes to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance as defined by the Joint Commission and CMS standards. The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator will learn and perform additional duties within the Quality Management department that may assist with critical needs, staff shortages or holiday coverage.

You will support the Director/Manager in coordination of survey activities with The Joint Commission; Texas Department of State Health Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and other regulatory agencies You will evaluate hospital performance in comparison to standards/requirements (i.e. Core Measures, Stroke, STS, and CathPCI)

You will lead and/or serve on committees and task forces related to regulatory compliance and safety events

You will participate in Serious Event Analysis (SEA) for reportable safety events, and facilitate action planning and monitoring of success activities as needed.

You will attend and participate in facility committees, employee forums and departmental meetings as requested

You will Implement organization’s principles of good communication and customer service standards, including use of AIDET and KWAKT as developed by the department.

What qualifications you will need:

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Graduate of accredited nursing school with Nursing Diploma, Associates degree or higher level education

Three years relevant experience (Med/Surg, Neuro, ICU or Emergency Room - preferred)

Prior job experience demonstrating leadership, management and successful communication and interpersonal skills
